ABC is bringing a shiny new edition of Wheel of Fortune to screens in 2021. With many familiar faces instead of members of the US public, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune sees famous people raise money for charity.

Over 7,000 episodes of Wheel of Fortune have aired since it first launched in 1975 and today the show is a fan favorite around the world. Let’s take a look at when the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune was filmed in 2021.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune 2021 premiere

The second season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune premiered on Sunday, September 26th at 8/7 a.m. on ABC.

Pat Sajak has hosted Wheel of Fortune since 1981 together with Vanna White, who has also hosted the show since 1982.

The Celebrity Edition of Wheel of Fortune was recently released in 2020. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about why it took so long to get a WoF celebrity special out, Pat Sajak said, You don’t know how much Wheel is too much, but you don’t want to water down the product too much. And this seemed to be the right time for it, because of what is happening in the world. “

When was the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune filmed in 2021?

According to Entertainment Tonight, some episodes of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune were filmed back in December 2020. However, this is most likely season 1 of the show as it featured Chris Harrison.

Season 1 of the high profile show was filmed in winter 2020 and aired in January 2021.

Since Season 2 started in September 2021, we could therefore assume that filming for the show would start in July or August 2021.

The filming of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune took place under strict Covid-19 regulations. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Pat Sajak said, “… you have people walking around in masks and hazmat outfits and there is no human contact and there is no audience so it’s a different atmosphere.”

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune 2021 occupation

The long-running game show will feature all sorts of familiar faces in Season 2, Episode 1, including Jason Alexander, Michael Mizanin, and Cheryl Burke.

For the rest of the season, viewers can expect Andy Richter, Vanilla Ice, Caroline Rhea, Donny Osmond, Laverne Cox, Jeff Garlin, Amber Riley, Melissa Joan Hart, Tituss Burgess, Lacey Chabert, Tori Spelling and many more celebs.
